Services for
Gladys Laura Goin Lovejoy, 87,
Caldwell, who died Saturday, May 25, in a Caldwell nursing home of
natural causes, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the
Dakan Funeral Chapel. Caldwell.
Rick Deighton of
the Nampa Valley Christian Church,
Nampa, will officiate. Interment will
follow at Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens.
Mrs. Lovejoy was
born April 12, 1898, at Caldwell, the daughter of William
and Martha Calloway. She
was a lifelong resident of the Nampa-Caldwell area, where
she worked as a hostess and cook for several cafes prior to
retiring in 1973.
She married
Everett Goin in 1914 in Caldwell where they
resided and farmed. Mr. Goin died in 1940.
She later married
Frank "Sam" Lovejoy in 1952 at Kuna.
He died in 1977.
She is survived
by three sons, Frank Goin of Hilliard, Ohio, Paul Goin of
Windom, Minn., and Gene Goin of Ontario; two daughters,
Dolores Owens of Nampa and Donna Navarro of Caldwell; 22
grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded
in death by one son, two daughters and two grandchildren.
Memorials may
be made to the Mercy Medical Center Hospice Program in care
of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1386,
Caldwell. 83606.
