Graveside services for Helen L. Jones, 75, of
Caldwell, who died Wednesday, June 3, at the Nampa hospital of natural causes, will be held at 10:30
a.m. Saturday at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens,
The Rev. Raymond A. Thompson of the Caldwell United Methodist
Church will officiate
under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mrs. Jones was born Feb. 29, 1912 at Cameron, Mo.,
to O. E. and Susannah Belle Robbins. She moved with her
family to Butler, Mo.,
where she was reared and educated.
She married George Jones July 14, 1932, at
Miami, Okla. In
1936, they moved to Idaho
and settled in the
area. They also
lived in the Marsing and Caldwell areas.
She had worked at J. R. Simplot Co. in
Caldwell for several years and at the College
Heights Grocery in
for three years.
She later worked at the Carnation Co. at
for several years.
She retired in 1975.
They had lived at Caldwell for the last 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of Caldwell; three daughters,
Jackie Dines of Marsing, Georgie Proffitt of Albany, Ore.,
and Rose King of Ely, Nev.; six sisters, Hazel Zellmer of
Marsing, Lucille Day and Pearlie Ross, both of Caldwell,
Maxine Maybon of Notus, Betty Bigler of Blackfoot, and Irene
Foster of Salem, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Robbins.
Friends may call at the Caldwell Dakan chapel today from 4
to 8 p.m.
