Graveside
services for Isabell Florence Lawson, 54, of Nampa, who died
Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the Nampa hospital of natural causes,
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens, Caldwell.
The Rev. Gene Crewse of the Mountain View Baptist
Church, Boise,
will officiate, under the direction of the Dakan Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell.
Mrs. Lawson was
born May 26, 1933, at
Carrollton, Ky., to the Rev. and Mrs. Edward N. Lawson.
She lived in Kentucky until
the age of 4, when she moved to
Santa Rosa, Texas, with her parents.
At the age of 10,
she moved to Eloy, Ariz., and graduated
from Eloy
High School.
She married Gene
Haws May 27, 1950, at Eloy.
They later divorced.
She moved in 1975
to Alaska, where she was
employed as a police dispatcher and a legal secretary.
In 1985 she moved
to Nampa, where she had worked
as a dispatcher for the Nampa Police Department.
She was a member
of the Eloy Southern Baptist Church.
She had received
numerous "good employee" awards and citations.
She is survived
by three sons, Robert "Randy," Edward A. and Perry J. Haws,
all of Nampa; a daughter,
Nanette Jericoff of Caldwell;
her mother, Zeba M. Sheffield of Payette; a brother, John M.
Lawson of Boise; four grandsons; and
a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call
at the Caldwell Dakan chapel Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
