Ivan Lovett

    Services for Ivan Lawrence Lovett, 73, 324 22nd Ave. S., Nampa, who died Wednesday, May 11 in Claremore, Okla., while visiting his daughter, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with Rev, David Guard, pastor of the Nampa Southside Boulevard United Methndist Church, officiating.   Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  
    He was born Oct. 9, 1901 at Lineville, Iowa, to Wayne and Grace Lovett.  He was reared and educated in Iowa, graduating from Lineville High School in 1928.  He married Berdine Lorraine Rockhold on Dec. 29, 1929 in Lineville.  They moved to Perryton, Texas that same year where they ranched and farmed.  They moved to Iola, Kansas, in 1953 where they continued farming.  They came to Nampa in January of 1959.  He worked for Campbell Tractor Co. in Nampa until his retirement in 1974.  He was a member of the Perryton, Texas, Methodist Church.  He was vice-president of the Snake River Stampede and a member of the good Sam Club, the Nampa Gem Sprout Chapter.
    He is survived by his wife of Nampa, three daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Peggy) Ward, Caldwell, Mrs. Don (Joylynn) Hayes, Claremore, Okla„ and Mrs. Robert (lvanell) Engle, Nampa; one son, Laurel (Tex) Lovett, Santa Rosa, Calif.; two sisters, Annalee Pittman, Perryton, Texas, and Maylynn Schubert, Spearman, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and two grand-children.
    Pallbearers will be Doug Ward, Chet Ward, Del Ward, Mike Ward, Randy Lovett, Burton Schubert and Norman Shroll.
