John Krommenhoek

    Services for John Krommenhoek, 75, of 4110 Moss Lane, Nampa, who died Sunday, March 20, at his home from natural causes, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jon H. Baxter, retired pastor of the Nampa Friends Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    He was born March 22, 1907, in Rotterdam, Holland.  He was brought to America as a baby.  He was reared and educated in Sioux City, Iowa.  He served in the U.S. Army in the Phillipines in 1946, at which time he went to work for the Pacific Fruit Express.  He retired as a carman in 1973.  His hobbies were artistic scroll writing and bowling.
    He is survived by his wife of Nampa; four sons, John of Nampa, Jacob of Milpitas, Calif., Eli of Boise, and Robert of Post Falls; four daughters, Marjorie Chamberlain and Jean Brooks of Nampa, Jean Gipe of Melba, and Carol Gumbelevicius of Vacaville, Calif.; 28 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a granddaughter.
