Graveside
services for John Liddle, 94, of 912 12th St. S., Nampa, who
died Wednesday, Dec. 7, in a Nampa nursing home, will be
conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens, Caldwell, by Dr. John W. Wallace, First United
Presbyterian Church, Nampa.
He was born March
7, 1889, at Stornaway,
Scotland, and was reared
and educated there. He
came to the United States
in 1907, and settled at
Rockville,
Ore.
He served in the
U.S. Army during World War I, then returned to Rockville
where he ranched, raising both sheep and cattle.
He retired and moved
to Nampa in 1958.
He had never married.
He is survived by
one brother, James Liddle, Nampa; one sister, Ruby Liddle,
Stornaway, Scotland; a niece, Kathy Bigney, San Juan
Capistrano, Calif.: and several nieces and nephews in
Scotland. He
was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Friends may call
at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa today until 9 p.m., from
9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and until 1 p.m. Saturday, and may
meet at the cemetery for services.
