Jonas Lee Sr.

    Services for Jonas E. Lee Sr., 85, Pendleton, Ore., formerly of Caldwell, who died Thursday, Jan. 6, at a Pendleton nursing home of natural causes, will be conducted at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by the Rev. Vic Brewer, of the Church of God, Caldwell.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden.
    He was born May 29, 1897, at Canbery, Wyo., to William Matthew Lee and Lisa Rebecca Brownsfield Cadwallader.  He married Leola Mae Beeghlay Oct. 13, 1926, at Twin Falls, Idaho.  They lived in Buhl until 1931 when they moved to Caldwell where they farmed.  Mrs. Lee died April 7, 1965.  He moved to Pendleton, Ore., in 1976 to be by his daughter.
    He is survived by two daughters, May Snow of Caldwell, Betty Dyke of Portland, Ore.; four sons, Jonas of Meridian, Art of Pineville, Dale of Bellflower, Calif., and George of Shawnee, Okla.; one sister, Florence Drury of College Place, Wash.; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his wife and one son, Charlie.
    Friends may call at the chapel from 6 to 9 tonight.
    Memorials may be given to the Salvation Army.
