Louise Thelma Lewis

    Louise Thelma Lewis, 78, of Nampa, died Thursday October 17, 1996, at a Nampa hospital.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 21, 1996, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Rev. Joseph M. Newcomer, Chaplain at Mercy Medical Center, will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    Louise was born on December 28, 1917, at Chester, West Virginia, to J.C. and Georgia Casto Humphrey.  At a young age she moved to Lisben, Ohio, where she was reared and educated.  She married Thomas L. Lewis on July 22, 1937, at Chester, and they made their home in East Liverpool, Ohio.  In 1943 they moved to Fontana, California.  After retirement in 1989, they moved to Nampa, where they built their home.  Mr. Lewis died on February 28, 1992, and she has resided in Nampa since.
    Louise was a Charter Member of the Moose Lodge Auxiliary #863 in Fontana, California.
    She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Pat and Paul Burright, Garden Valley, Idaho, Judy and Glenn Woods, Nampa; one son and his wife, James and Carolyn Lewis, Fontana, California; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
    Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
