Mabel Jones

    Services for Mabel A. Jones, 86, of Nampa, who died on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at a Caldwell care center will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry White, pastor of the Nampa First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    Mrs. Jones was born on Nov. 17, 1898, in Pawnee County, Bethany, Okla., where she was reared and educated. She married Areatus B. Jones on Nov. 3, 1917, at Bethany, where they lived until moving to Nampa in 1935. In 1946, they moved to a farm near Melba, where they farmed for 23 years. After Mr. Jones died in 1969, she returned to
Nampa.

    She was a 50-year member of the Nampa First Church of the Nazarene and a charter member of the Bethany, Okla., First Church of the Nazarene.
    She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Berg of Port Ludlow, Wash., Mrs. Vera Purdy of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Orpha Miller of Caldwell and Mrs. Edna Lee Williams of Bellflower, Calif.; two sons, Vernon G. Jones of Nampa and Edwin D. Jones of Boise; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Lamdin of Littlerock, Calif. and Mrs. Nellie Fraser of Hydesville, Calif.; one brother, George Delp of Hydesville; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by one daughter, one grandson, four sisters and one brother.
    Memorials may be made to the Nampa First Church of the Nazarene, 600 15th Ave. So., Nampa, 83651, or flowers may be sent.
