Graveside services for Mable B. Jones, 87, of 405 W.
Colorado Ave., Nampa, who died Monday, Oct 11, at a Caldwell
nursing home, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, by the Rev. Vernon L.
Wilcox, Nampa First Church of the Nazarene, under the
direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
She was born Aug.7, 1895, at Broken Bow, Neb., a daughter of
Oscar and Mattie Franklin Tappan. She was reared and
educated in that area. On Nov. 7, 1918, she married Archie
Jones. They lived in that area until moving to Canby, Ore.,
in 1945. She worked as a potato sorter for the J.R. Simplot
Co., Caldwell where she retired in 1963 after 10 years of
service. Mr. Jones died on March 1, 1968. She was a member
of the Nampa First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by two sons, Oscar Jones, West Lynn, Ore.,
and Forest Jones, Oregon City, Ore.; two daughters, Eleene
West, Manhattan Beach, Calif., and Marie Clark, Nampa; 11
grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews. One son preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
