Ruth Ellen Brown Richards

    Ruth Ellen Brown Richards , 95, of Cambridge, died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at a Weiser care center of natural causes. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 4, 2010 at the Roswell Cemetery, Roswell. Pastor June Fathergill of the Wilder United Methodist Church will officiate, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. 459-3629. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
    Ruth was born Oct. 30, 1914, south of Notus, the third child of James O. and Effie Buffington Brown. She married Raymond Richards March 26, 1932 at Caldwell. They made their home in the Wilder and Notus area. She worked in the Morfitt Store in Wilder. In 1957 they moved to Cambridge. She worked for D.A. Danielson Stores as a meat cutter for many years. She was an avid camper and a longtime member of the Cuddy Mountain Ramblers. She moved to Assisted Living in Weiser in March of 2004.
    Ruth is survived by a son, Harry Richards of Weiser; a daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Bill Patrick of Wilder; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; a son; a granddaughter; three sisters; and one brother.
