Ruby Lawson

    Services for Ruby L. Lawson, 66, of 423 10th Ave. S. Ext., Nampa, who died Wednesday, May 18, in a Coos Bay, Ore., hospital from natural causes while visiting her daughter, will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Housh, pastor of the Nampa First United Methodist Church, officiating.
    Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
   She was born May 18, 1917, at Ft. Wayne, Ind. At age 7, she moved with her family to the Nampa area where she was reared and graduated from Kuna High School in 1936.  She graduated from St. Alphonsus Hospital School of Nursing in 1940.
    She married Donald H. Lawson on June 15, 1941 at Kuna.  They made their home in Boise until moving to Nampa in 1947.  She worked as an R.N. at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise and Mercy Medical Center.  She later went to work as an office nurse for Dr. Clara Hastings in Nampa.  She was an instructor for Practical Nurses at Mercy Medical Center.  She was a member of the Nampa First United Methodist Church and Nampa Chapter 30 Order of Eastern Star.
    She is survived by her husband of Nampa; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy England, Coos Bay, Ore.; one son, Robert D. Lawson, Fairport, N.Y.; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Quenzer, Emmett; and four grandsons.
    She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bernard Crill.
    Memorials may be made to the Nampa First United Methodist Church, 404 12th Ave. So., Nampa 83651 or flowers may be sent.
