Roman Lopez

    Services for Roman Lopez, 76, of Homedale, who died Thursday, April 30, in Jerome, will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Homedale.
    The Rev. Ramiro Reyes of the Iglesia Evangelica Church, Wilder, will officiate.  Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder.
    Mr. Lopez was born Aug. 1910, at China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.  He was reared and educated in San Juan, Texas.
    He married Angelita Garza on Aug. 22, 1938, at Robstown, Texas. The couple moved to Homedale in 1959. He had worked for the Batt Farms of Wilder and J.R. Simplot Co. in Caldwell prior to his retirement
    He is survived by his wife of Homedale; six sons, Humberto of Austin, Texas, Jose of Parma, Alberto, Ernesto, Gerardo and Freddy, all of Homedale; eight daughters, Esperanza Barrintes and Lydia DeLeon, both of Homedale, Gloria Martinez of Albany, Ore., Adriana Mattson of Jerome, Synthia Venavides of Wilder, Carolina Lopez, Oralia Ojedia and Edolina Collins, all of California; 50 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
    Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.
