Graveside
services for Veda L. Leedy, 86, of Caldwell, who died
Tuesday, June 23 at the Caldwell hospital of natural causes,
will be held at 10 a.m Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens,
Caldwell.
Mr.
Steve Farden of Caldwell will officiate under the direction of
Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mrs, Leedy was
born June 8, 1901, at Mt. Vernon, Ore.,
to Luke D. and Leora Stone McKern, where she was reared and
educated. She taught
piano lessons for many years.
She married Harry
S. Leedy Nov. 27, 1931, at
Prairie City, Ore. They moved to Caldwell in 1935. They owned Leedy's Cafe in
Payette and Caldwell from 1947 to 1973.
Mr. Leedy died
Oct. 3, 1973.
She is survived by a twin sister, Verda Norris of
Redmond, Ore.; a
daughter-in-law, Frances Leedy Odlivak of Aliquippa, Pa.;
eight great-grandchildren; and friends Marvel, Hazel and
Dortha.
She
was preceded in death by two sons.
