Graveside
services for William C. Lawler, 92, of 888 Preakness, Eagle,
who died Monday, April 16, in a Boise hospital, will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hillcrest Memorial Park,
Caldwell. The
Rev. Kent Roberts of the Meridian Gospel Tabernacle will
officiate, under the direction of Chapel of the Chimes, Meridian.
Mr. Lawler was
born June 24, 1891. From 1918 to 1943 he was a ditchrider
for the Wilder Irrigation District in the Sunny Slope area.
In 1943 he moved to Seattle where he worked in
the shipyards.
In the later
1940s he returned to Sunny Slope where he dairy farmed.
He moved to
Meridian in 1959
where he worked in semi-retirement as a saw sharpener and
lawn mower repairman. He
moved to Eagle in 1981.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ila Beard
of Eagle and Christina Odeaga of Jerome: and numerous
grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call
at the Chapel of the Chimes in
Meridian
today from 4 to 9 p.m.
Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery.
