William P. Lockwood

    NAMPA Services for William P. Lockwood, 61, 811 Elder, who died Tuesday in a Nampa Hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa by the Rev. David W. Pearson of the Caldwell First Baptist Church.  Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    He was born May 31, 1914, in Harviell, Mo., where he was reared and educated.  He moved to Nampa in 1935 and married Nina Billings at Murphy, Sept. 26, 1941.  He served with the Navy during World War II and was a brakeman for the Union Pacific Railroad until he retired Jan. 4, 1974.
    He was a member of the United Transportation Union of Nampa.
    Surviving are his wife of Nampa; two sons, Lowell P., San Jose, Calif., and Leland E., Nampa; a daughter, Linda Nall, Caldwell; three brothers, Aubert and Archie, both of St. Louis, Mo., and R. E. "Bud" Lockwood, Corning, Ark.; four sisters, Mabel Mitchell, Doniphan, Mo., Lorene Odom, Nellyville, Mo., Tina Miller, Nampa, and Vera Fear, Datto, Ark.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
