Elder, who died Tuesday in a Nampa Hospital,
will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Flahiff Funeral

was born May 31, 1914, in Harviell, Mo.,
where he was reared and educated.
He moved to
in 1935 and married Nina Billings at Murphy, Sept. 26, 1941.
He served with the
Navy during World War II and was a brakeman for the Union
Pacific Railroad until he retired Jan. 4, 1974.
was a member of the United Transportation Union of Nampa.
Surviving are his wife of Nampa; two sons, Lowell P., San
Jose, Calif., and Leland E., Nampa; a daughter, Linda Nall,
Caldwell; three brothers, Aubert and Archie, both of St.
Louis, Mo., and R. E. "Bud" Lockwood, Corning, Ark.; four
sisters, Mabel Mitchell, Doniphan, Mo., Lorene Odom,
Nellyville, Mo., Tina Miller, Nampa, and Vera Fear, Datto,
Ark.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son
and a daughter.
