Adeline Marquardt

    Services for Adeline M. Marquardt, 74, of Nampa, who died Thursday, Oct. 11, at a Nampa hospital, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church, Caldwell.
    The Rev. David C. Quail will officiate.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
    Marquardt, a retired licensed vocational nurse, was born Jan. 12, 1910, at Pelican Rapids, Minn., to Sever and Emma Hosterman Ophus.  She was reared and educated there, graduating from high school in 1928.  She moved to Los Angeles, Calif., in 1940 and worked in an aircraft plant during World War II.
    She married William Carl Marquardt on Oct. 16, 1943, in Los Angeles and they made their home there until moving to San Bernadino, Calif., in 1953.  She was there employed at the Patton State Hospital and became a licensed vocational nurse.
    She retired in 1970 and they moved to Nampa where they have since resided.
    She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Caldwell.
    She is survived by her husband of Nampa; a daughter, Marcia R. Lew, of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Gladys Ophus, of Nampa; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Her parents, three brothers, and one sister preceded her in death.
    Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa from 1 until 9 tonight (Sunday) and may meet at the church for services.
