Memorial services
for Canzada McCormick, 95, of Spokane,
and formerly of Caldwell, who
died Monday, Oct. 20, at Spokane
of natural causes, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the
Kirkpatrick
Memorial
Church,
Parma.
Burial will follow
at the Roswell Cemetery,
Roswell,
Mrs. McCormick was born June 15, 1891, at Molina,
Mesa County,
Colo., to Alfred Kimsey and
Margaret Canzada Davenport Hampton.
She attended elementary and high schools at Grand
Junciton, Colo. She
attended the College
of Idaho at
Caldwell
for one-and-a-half years before returning to Colorado. She
graduated from the University
of Colorado at Boulder in 1915.
She attended
Teacher's College at Columbia University
in New York City.
She married
Robert Rockwood McCormick on Aug. 10, 1916, at
Caldwell.
She was a bookkeeper
and secretary for the Caldwell
Memorial
Hospital during its construction, and
was acting treasurer for the
College
of Idaho
for a time. She and
her husband retired in 1960 and moved to
Spokane.
She is survived by
two daughters, Ruth Margaret Kyle of
Idaho Falls and Edith Perkins of
Ottawa, Ill. seven grandchildren, seven
great-grandchildren ; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded
in death by three brothers and two sisters.
