Clarence McWhinney

    CALDWELL - Graveside services for Clarence H. McWhinney, 88, of Caldwell Route 2, who died Monday at his home, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Bruce C. Johnson of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church.
    He was born August 15, 1886 in Bradshaw. Neb., and was reared at Loveland, Colo.  He farmed in Washington and Wyoming, and later worked at the Amalgamated Sugar Co. plant in Nyssa, Ore.  He and his wife, Laura M. McWhinney, were married June 14, 1953 in Winnemucca, Nev., and lived in Caldwell.  He worked at the J.R. Simplot Co. plant in Caldwell before retiring in 1961. Mrs. McWhinney died in 1968 in Caldwell. 
    He was a member of the American Federation of Grain Millers, Local No. 291, of Caldwell.
    Surviving are three sons, Edward A. McWhinney, Henry C. McWhinney, and Albert J. McWhinney, addresses unknown.  He was preceded in death by a son, Oscar H. McWhinney, in 1950 in Nyssa, and by a brother and a sister.
    Friends may call at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell until 1 p.m. Friday There will be no cortege.
