Clarinda Martineau

    NAMPA Rosary for Clarinda Martineau, 91, Nampa, who died Tuesday at a Nampa nursing home, will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Catholic Church by the Rev. James L. Pratt S.M.  Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    She was born June 26, 1887, at Montreal, Canada.  She moved with her family to Butte, Mont., where she was reared and educated.  She moved with her family to Nampa in 1901.  She married George X. Martineau on Nov. 6, 1906, at Nampa.  They farmed and made their home near Nampa, until retiring and moving into Nampa in 1943.  He died Dec. 11, 1959.  She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, St. Paul's Altar Society, the Legion of Mary and the Catholic Womens League.
    Surviving; are three sons, George F., Ovelia and Leo N. Martineau, all of Nampa; five daughters, Mrs. Bert (Anna) Strait of Spokane, Mrs. Howard (Cecilia) Schmidt and Gerald (Rita) Ward, both of Nampa, and Mrs. Charles (Alvina) Callsen and Bill (Theresa) Knox, both of Caldwell; a brother, Adalore "Red" Rivett of Nampa; 37 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son and six brothers.
    Memorials may be made to the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Fund in care of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
