Services for
Dorothy G. McCauley, 75, of 472 Caldwell Blvd., Nampa, who died Sunday, Oct. 30, in a Nampa hospital, will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Nampa First Christian
Church with the Rev. Kenneth B. Britt, pastor, officiating.
Interment
will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens
with graveside rites by Colfax Rebekah Lodge 24.
Services and
interment are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral
Chapel, Nampa.
She was born
Nov. 11, 1907, at Adiar, Iowa,
where she was reared and educated.
She married Merl E.
McCauley on Oct. 4, 1923, at Creston, Iowa.
Following their
marriage they made their home in
Scottsbluff, Neb. They
were later divorced. In
1947 she moved to Glendale,
Calif.
In 1973 she moved to Nampa to live near her
daughter. She worked
for the F.W. Woolworth Company as a bookkeeper for over 40
years. She was a
member of the Nampa First Christian Church, the Colfax
Rebekah Lodge 24, and a past Noble Grand, the Eagles
Auxiliary 2103, the Royal Neighbors of America and the Woodman Circle.
She is survived
by one daughter, Mrs. Carol (Joyce) Chase, Nampa; one
sister, Mrs. Waunita Frost, Hendersonville, N.C.; one
nephew, Michael Grillo, Ft. Meyers, Fla.; four grandsons,
Wayne, Bryce and Monte Hergert, all of Mountain Home, and
Neil Hergert, Nampa; one granddaughter, Earlynn Chase, in
Florida; two step-grandchildren, Vernon Chase, Los Angeles,
and Michele Chase, Portland; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call
at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today until 9 p.m. and Wednesday
from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon.
