    Elizabeth E. Massengale, 88, of Nampa, formerly of Bowmont, died Thursday, December 15, 1994, at a Nampa care center.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Monday, December 19, 1994 at the Alsip Funeral Chapel.  Pastor Harold Tjelta of the Nampa Lutheran Brethren Church will officiate.  Intombment will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    Elizabeth E. Massengale was born on November 26, 1906, at Sherman, Oklahoma to Fred and Stella Clark Butler.  She was reared and attended schools in Sherman.  She married Virgil K. Massengale Sr. on November 3, 1926, at Waynoka, Oklahoma.  They then moved to American Falls and later returned to Oklahoma for a while, where they farmed.  They then moved to the Bowmont Community near Nampa, where they made their home.  Virgil died on October 5, 1984.  Elizabeth moved to Nampa in 1991 where she has since resided.  Elizabeth loved working in her large flower garden.
    She is survived by 4 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, Alvin and Ofelia, Caldwell, Glen and Donna, Boise, Virgil and Susan, Nampa, A. Lee of Bowmont; 2 sisters, Verl Daniels, Chester, Oklahoma, Audrey Jones, Seiling, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Francis Butler and Fred Butler, both of Waynoka, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother John Butler, 1 sister, Alice Robinson, a daughter, Irma Jean Massengale and a great granddaughter.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
