CALDWELL -
Services for Mrs. Edna Lee McVey, 62, of 409 East Elm,
Caldwell, who died Thursday at her home will be conducted at
11 a.m. Wednesday in the Flahiff Funeral Chapel by the Rev.
Fr. William Wassmuth of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest.
Mrs. McVey was
born Jan. 19, 1907, at
Boise where she
was reared and attended school.
At the age of 19,
she moved to Long Beach, Calif., and returned to Boise 10 years later to take care of her
mother. She was
married to Jacob A. McVey, Oct. 8, 1938, at Weiser.
They lived in
Boise
for three years where he was a house mover and building
contractor. The
family then moved to McCord Air Force Base,
Tacoma, Wash. where Mr. McVey constructed barracks
and she was employed in an airplane plant.
In 1943 they
moved to McCall where they owned and operated the Pine Ridge
Cottages for two years. They
then moved back to Boise
for two years, and then went to
Caldwell
in 1945 where Mr. McVey did house contracting.
Mr. McVey died Sept.
2, 1964, at Caldwell.
Survivors include
a son, Dale McVey, Cascade; four daughters, Mrs. Dorotha
Seat, Lake View,
Mich., Mrs. Helen Seiberg, Mrs. Betty Holton,
and Mrs. Lynda Pratt, all of
Caldwell; 13 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren. She
was preceded in death by a sister.
