Frances McClaran

Kimberly Marie Jenkins-McClain died at a Boise hospital on Feb. 10, 1997, of natural causes.  Services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, 1997, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Kimberly was born August 19, 1986, in Nampa, Idaho. She was a fourth-grade student in Mrs. Allen's class at Greenhurst Elementary school.
Kimberly was a lover of people and where three or more were gathered, she felt it was a party.  She brightened everyone's life with her beautiful smiles and her laughter which rang the halls.  Listening to music from classical to rap was one of her favorite pastimes.  Carnival rides were a favorite as they gave her wings to fly and be free for awhile from her physical restrictions.
Kimberly had a big heart for people and she loved them unconditionally.  There were many people she taught tolerance and understanding to about her physical challenges.  She understood everything around her and responded to those people who took the time to get to know and love her.  Those who did take the time have had their lives enriched beyond measure.  She was respected by everyone for the bravery she showed throughout her young life.  She was known as "Kimberly the Brave" to all who loved her.
Her family meant the world to Kimberly and she had some wonderful times being together with them.  She loved them all with a great intensity and lots of hugs and kisses.  She had a second family with Andra and Jim Slonecker and their children, Anthony, Ben, Calvin and Rob. Their care of Kimberly will always be gratefully remembered.
"Kimberly the Brave" will always be forever young and forever loved.
She is survived by her parents, Sally and Jeremy McClain; brothers, Billy Gardner and Anthony McClain, all of Nampa; maternal grandparents, Ken and Kathy Brown of Nampa; paternal grandparents, Jeff and Val Allen of Boise; great-grandmothers, Laura Plouet of Lafayette, La., and Iola Brown of Oroville Calif.; great-grandfather, Fernando Beeche of San Jose, Costa Rica; and great-great-grandmother, Irene Leetch of Lafayette, La.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and her special pal, Katie.
