Fern McNair

    Fern Louise McNair, 87, of Neosho, Missouri, and formerly of Middleton, Idaho, died Sunday, February 16, 1992, at a Neosho hospital after a lengthy illness.  Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 1992, at the Middleton Cemetery.  Rev. Lura Kidner-Miesen of the United Methodist Church, Middleton will officiate, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
    Mrs. McNair was born December 13, 1904, in the state of Oklahoma.  She moved to Middleton, Idaho, at the age of 12 and lived there until October 1989, when she moved to Neosho, Mo., to be with her daughter.  Her father John Ivie, who was a farmer, acquired his land in the Oklahoma Land Rush.  She married William Lee McNair March 20, 1926, he died November 5, 1988.  She is the last of 6 children of John and Phoebe Ivie.  She was a homemaker for almost 63 years.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Middleton where she was active in the choir, she also sang many duets.  She was a Christian all of her life.  She was a member of the United Methodist Women for 30 years.
    She is survived by 2 daughters, Dolores Davis of Rocky Comfort, Mo., and Nancy Robinson of Santa Rosa, Ca.; 3 half brothers, Raye Ivie and Oree Ivie, both of Caldwell, and J.R. Ivie of Middleton; a half sister, Wylene Louvering of Coos Bay, OR; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
