Irma Martin

    Services for Irma S. Martin, 78, of Nampa, who died Monday, Sept. 29, in the Nampa hospital of natural causes will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Nampa First Church of the Nazarene, 600 15th Ave. S.
    The Rev. Jerry White, pastor of the church will officiate.  Private burial will follow later at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Mrs. Martin, a homemaker, was born May 21, 1908, in Sweden.  At age 13 she moved with her family to the United States.  They settled in Spokane, Wash.
    She married Lawrence A. Martin in January of 1943 at Spokane.  In 1948 they began the Spokane Storm Window Co. which they owned and operated until 1981 when they sold the business and moved to Nampa.  Mr. Martin died Dec. 13, 1985, while he and his wife were vacationing in Hawaii.
    She was a member of the Broadmore Country Club in Nampa.
    She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Carol Martin of Portland, Ore.; a daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Dean Johnson of Nampa; a sister, Gullan Rhoades of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren, Geoff and Whitney Johnson and Jessica and Alan Martin.
    She was preceded in death by a brother, Gus Dahl.
    Memorials may be made to the Idaho Epilepsy League, 1020 W. Franklin St., Boise 83702.
