Jean McHugh

    Graveside services for Jean L. McHugh, 73, of Caldwell, who died Wednesday, Aug. 19, at home of natural causes, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wilder Cemetery.
    John Farner of St. David's Episcopal Church, Caldwell, will officiate, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Friends may meet at the cemetery.
    Mrs. McHugh was born Oct. 23, 1913, in Caldwell, to Daniel H. and Elizabeth Jackson Cashman. She was reared and educated in southwest Idaho and northern Nevada. She was the second of three family generations to graduate from the Dixie Red Top School. She also attended school in San Jose, Calif.
    She married Earl W. McHugh Nov. 18, 1933, in Caldwell. They operated dairy farms in the Sand Hollow and the Dixie-Centerpoint areas for 40 years.
She was active in the Caldwell senior citizens and a member of the U.S. Dixie Club and a past member of the Centerpoint Club.
    She enjoined gardening and flower raising.
    She is survived by her husband of Caldwell; a son and daughter-in-law, Cmdr. Charles and Sandra McHugh of Caldwell; a sister, Pat Allen of Caldwell; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; an aunt; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by a brother.
    Memorials may be made to the West Valley Medical Center's hospice program, or the Caldwell Senior Citizens Center.
