James Martin

    Funeral services for James R. Martin Jr., 13, Box 616, Marsing, who died Saturday at his home of natural causes will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Southern Baptist Church, Caldwell, by the Rev. William E. Schleifer and Pastor Gale Graves.  Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Caldwell under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    He was born September 25, 1968 at Bellevue, Wash.  He came to Middleton with his family in October of 1979 and moved to Marsing in 1980 where he attended the 8th grade at the Marsing Middle School and was active in football and track.  His hobbies included fishing and collecting lizards.  He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Caldwell,
    He is survived by his mother and step-father, Don and Dorena Brown of Marsing; his father and step-mother, James and Vickie Martin of Kent, Wash.; a sister, Corrina M. Love of Marsing; two step-sisters, Cindy Brown of Marsing and Tanya Brown of Greenleaf; one step-brother, James Brown of Marsing, maternal grandfather, Cecil E. Minks of Iowa City, Iowa; paternal grandparents, John and Phyllis Plesha and Caroline Martin, all of Seattle; and numerous aunts and uncles.
    Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel Caldwell from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
    The family suggests memorials be made to the Mountain States Tumor Institute, Boise or the Children's Orthopedic Hospital, Seattle.
