Graveside
services for Mattie McLellan, 96, of
Nampa, who died Saturday, Oct. 3, at a Nampa care center, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the
Hillcrest
Memorial
Gardens, Caldwell.
The Rev. Jospeh Housh, pastor of the Nampa
First
United
Methodist
Church, will officiate.
Friends may meet at the cemetery.
Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral
Chapel, Nampa.
Mrs.
McLellan, a homemaker, was born in
Texas. March 20, 1891.
At a young age she
moved with her family to
Nyssa, Ore., where she was reared and educated.
She married
Elmore McLellan Aug. 12, 1920, in Nyssa.
They later moved to Nampa.
She worked at C.C.
Andersons Golden Rule Store for 10 years and at the
Idaho
State School
and Hospital as a night supervisor for 10 years.
She was an active
member of the Nampa
First
United
Methodist
Church.
She is survived
by a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Phyllis McLellan of
Nampa; two daughters and a son-in-law, Maxine
Hickox of Boise
and Ermagene and Dick Gorley of
Spokane,
Wash.; eight grandchildren; and 17
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call
at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Monday until 9 p.m., all day
Tuesday until 9 p.m. and on Wednesday until noon.
