Nancy McCallum

Nancy J. McCallum, 56, of Nampa, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 1994, at a Nampa hospital.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa, with the Rev. Tom Larson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Nampa, officiating.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Nancy was born July 21, 1938, in Topeka, Kan., a daughter of Henry and Lucille Cooney Fox.  The family moved to Iowa and then to Los Angeles, Calif., where Nancy finished school, graduating from All Girls Catholic School in 1956.  She lived in the West Covina, Calif., area where she met and later married Dean R. McCallum Sept. 4, 1966, at Las Vegas, Nev., and they continued to make their home in West Covina.  In 1974, the family moved to Boise and then to Nampa in 1976 where they have since resided.
Nancy was an avid golfer.  She had served as vice-president and president of the Centennial Ladies Gold Association and was very active with the Purple Sage Ladies Association.  She loved working for the American Cancer Society, especially selling tickets for the annual Play House sale.  However, the most important part of Nancy's life was taking care of her family.  She was very active in her children's lives; making sure they were at a game, driving them where ever else they needed to be and never letting them down.  One of Nancy's favorite things to do was making crafts to give away as gifts to her friends.
Survivors include her husband, Dean of Nampa; a son, Blake McCallum of Nampa; a daughter, Dana McCallum of Tigard, Ore.; a brother, Mark Fox, and three sisters, Patricia Tinker, Jackie Moore and Judy Mullen, all four in California; a granddaughter, Jessica Rae McCallum of Hailey and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or flowers may be sent.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
