Nona Burnadeen
Martin, 81, of Caldwell, passed away at
home on July 16, 1993. Funeral
services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, July 19,
1993, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Marty Gentzler, a
grandson, from
Columbus, Ohio, will officiate.
Burial will follow
at Hillcrest
Memorial
Gardens,
Caldwell.
Nona Burnadeen
was born September 4, 1912, in
Canton, Oklahoma, a daughter to William R. and
Augusta Kirk. She
resided in Okla. until her marriage to Vern Martin on July 1, 1929 in
Fairview, Okla. They
then moved to Caldwell,
Idaho where they lived until moving to Vale, Oregon in 1933. I n 1937
her husband, Vern, became a minister in the Church of the
Nazarene. She
assisted him in establishing a church in Nyssa, Oregon.
They pastored there
for several years and then served a number of churches in
Oregon,
Idaho, Colorado
and California
for the next forty years. They
retired in 1980, making their home in
Caldwell, where she lived until her
death. She is
survived by her husband Vern, Caldwell; two daughters, Joyce
Gentzler of Hereules,
California; Verna (April) Bateman of Sandy,
Utah; one sister, Lucille Halverson of
Texas; five grandchildren and four
great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Ustick
Road
Church of the Nazarene, 817 Ustick Road,
Caldwell,
Idaho 83605.

Caldwell.
