Anthony Panchelli
Anthony Panichelli, 75, of Nampa, died Sunday, Feb. 25,
1996, at his home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at
10 a.m. Friday, March 1, at St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Rev. Father Alfred Puccinelli, S.M. and Rev. Father Paul
Mathews, S.M. will con-celebrate. Burial will follow
at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the
direction of Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Anthony was born Feb. 1,1921, a son of Pasquale and Felice
Calabrese Panichelli, at Philadelphia, Penn. He was
reared and graduated from high school there. After
completing his formal education in advertising he went to
work for the General Electric Company. He married
Gloria Danese on Nov. 15, 1947, at Yeadon, Penn. He
worked for the I.T.E. Circuitbreaker Company until 1959 when
they moved to Reading, Penn. He was involved in sales
for a audio video company for a time until going back to his
lifelong profession in advertising with the Berdsboro
Company, retiring in 1986. They moved to Idaho in
August of 1993 to be near a daughter and her family.
Anthony was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and sang
in the church choir for a year.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria of Nampa; a son, John
Panichelli of West Point, NY; a daughter, Pat Papiez of
Nampa; three sisters, Lillie DiFebbo of Westmont, NJ, Jennie
Miceli of Philadelphia, PA, and Antoinette DeLuca of
Reading, CA; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and
one sister. Memorials may be given to
Hospice c/o Mercy Medical Center, 1512 12th Ave. Rd., Nampa,
or flowers may be sent.
