Middleton Man Passes Monday
MIDDLETON - (Special) -
Alva Lee Garrett passed away Monday evening at the family
home following an illness of several weeks. Mr.
Garrett underwent an operation in Portland about 10 days ago
and returned home Monday noon on the train.
Born in Parksville, Ark., November 2, 1883, Mr. Garrett was
married to Mary Frances Little in Kingston, Ark., July 24,
1905. They moved to Idaho in 1916 and lived near
Boise. Ten years ago they moved to the Central Park
community east of Middleton. Surviving
are Mrs. Garrett, a brother Grover, whose home is in
Arkansas, and six sons, William R., Lester Elihu, John
Colby, Melvin Cody, Thomas Andrew and Alva Lee R., all of
whom live near Middleton. Funeral
services will be in charge of Paul Case at the Middleton
Methodist church Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Myers
will officiate. Burial will be in Middleton cemetery.
