Services for Ada
Mattox, 77, of 707 Denver St.,
Caldwell, who died Saturday, Nov.
6, at a Caldwell
hospital, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dakan
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by the Rev, Gerald Crownover of
First Assembly of God, Caldwell.
She was born Aug.
2, 1905 at Gibbon, Neb., to Charles and Eva
Gressley. Her early
years were spent near
Sargent, Neb., where she met and later married Walter
Mattox on Aug. 1, 1923. They
continued to live in Nebraska
until 1936 when they moved to
Idaho.
They celebrated
their 59th wedding anniversary in August.
She is survived
by her husband, Walter of Caldwell; three sons, Norman,
Gerald and Marlin all of Caldwell; five daughters, Mrs.
Cecil (Darlene) Wilson, Caldwell, Mrs. Albert (Donna)
Gestrin, Donnelly, Mrs. Ward (Evelyn) Beavers, Caldwell,
Mrs. George (Mary) Beavers, Caldwell, and Mrs. Terry (Anita)
Dietrich, Boise; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren;
one brother Kenneth Gressley, Buhl; two sisters, Mrs. Ted
(Wauneta) Franklin, Mesa, Ariz., and Mrs. Harold (Mary)
Cuckler, Wheat Ridge, Co., and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be
made to the Womans Mission Kitchen Fund at the First
Assembly of God church, Caldwell.
