Alvon Parker
    Graveside funeral services for Alvon L. Parker, 78, Vale, who died Monday in a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Wilder Cemetery by the Rev. Raymond A. Thompson of Caldwell United Methodist Church under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    He was born Dec. 28, 1902, in Yakima, Wash.  He moved with his family to Richfield and then to Nampa in 1916.  He moved to Homedale in 1930.  He married Ida Mae Sharp on June 30, 1994, in Nampa.  For the past 20 years, he lived in Vale, where he worked for the Bureau of Land Management for 10 years.
    He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bud (Charlotte) McDermott of Caldwell; two sisters, Gertrude Tiffany of Nampa and Pearl Townsend of Eagle; five brothers, Cecil E. of Sunnyside, Wash., Howard M. of Coeur d'Alene and Gerald E., Lester N. and Donald E., all of Homedale; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife.
    Memorials may be made to a favorite charity,
