Bernice Metcalf

    Bernice A. Metcalf, 88, of Nampa, died Monday Feb. 19, 1996, at a Nampa hospital. Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1996, at Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Rev. Jim Hardenbrook of the Nampa Church of the Brethren will officiate.  Inurnment will be at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Bernice was born June 20, 1907, in Chandler, Oklahoma, to Robert and Dora Clelland Adams.  At a young age she moved to Idaho and settled in the Meridian area.  She lived in Cambridge for five years, Winnemucca, Nevada, for six years, and in 1968 she moved back to Idaho where she had since resided.
    Bernice loved gardening and knitting, and enjoyed sharing her treasures with family and friends.
    She is survived by one son, Burton Duayne Metcalf of Montrose, Colorado; one daughter, Barbara Robinson of Nampa; one sister, Alice Baldwin of Caldwell: a brother, Donald Adams of California; four grandchildren; and eleven great- grandchildren.
