Benjamin F.
Michener, 82, of Nampa, died Friday, August 12, 1994, at the Nampa hospi-tal. Graveside
services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. August 16, at Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens, Caldwell. The Rev. Milt Holmes of Grace
Episcopal Church,
Nampa, will preside. Arrangements are
under the direction of Per-sons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
Nampa. Mr. Michener was born Jan-uary
4, 1912, in Nampa, a son of
Fred and Lola F. Miller Michener, and was reared and
attended schools here, gradu-ating from
Nampa
High School. During World
War II he served in the
Aleutian
Island. He married Jennie
A. Spurlock on September 26, 1952, at
Nampa. After the ser- vice he worked
as a pressman for both the Free Press and the Press-Tribune,
retiring in 1960. Then he went to work for the Nampa Park
system. Ben loved the outdoors and spent many hours hunting
and fishing. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church,
Joseph H. Murray Post No. 18, American Legion, and Colonel
Stotsenberg Post No. 3465, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include
his wife, Jennie of Nampa; a nephew and his wife, Max and
Teri Norquist of Caldwell.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte
Norquist.
