Betty Jo Oaks
Graveside services for Betty Jo Oaks, 48, Notus, who died
Wednesday, in a Caldwell hospital will be conducted at 2
p.m. Monday, at Hilicrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell by the
Rev. Barry Failor, First Baptist Church, Notus, under the
direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
She was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Ft. Worth, Texas. She moved
to Caldwell with her family at a young age, where she
attended school. She married Charles Oaks, Feb. 3,
1963, in Nevada, The couple resided in the Caldwell
and Notus area since then. She worked for Glen L.
Evans Fish Fly for 20 years, and for J.R. Simplot for a
time. She is survived by her husband,
Notus; two sons, Rick Griggs, Garden City; Randy Oaks,
Notus; three daughters, Vicky Walton, Nampa; Becky Oaks, and
Brenda Oaks, both of Notus; a brother, William F. Winkler,
Garden Valley; and several nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Notus.
Friends may call at the chapel today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
