Charles Paulin
    Charles Paulin, 86, of Caldwell, a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, died Friday, May 2, 1997, at a Caldwell hospital.
    Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 p.m., Monday, May 5, 1997, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  A Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Mr. Paulin was born on June 28, 1910 at Cannelton, Indiana. He was married to Mary Jane "Jackie" Alexander on January 30, 1946.  They made their home in the Treasure Valley where they farmed for several years.  In 1965 they settled in Caldwell.  He loved farming and wood working, and began painting at the age of 80.
    He is survived by his wife and 13 children and their spouses, Theresa and Skip Nakshima, Tom and Pam Paulin, Joe and Owen Paulin, Rita Turrittin, Mike and Linda Paulin, Mary Anne and Sandy Macnab, Trudy and Jack Burris, Connie and Dan Erskine, Nadine and Randy Barbee, Toni and Mike Bunt, Jennifer and Don Jepson, Gerard and Tanis Paulin, and Pat and Cheryl Paulin; 31 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; two sisters, Winifred Foreman and Grace Wees; five sisters-in-law, Margaret Paulin, Frances Paulin, Jean Hesler, Pauline Kiser, and Naomi Chariton; numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
