Charles Miller

    Funeral services for Charles W. Miller, 78, of Melba, who died Thursday, May 5 at his home, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa, with the Rev. J. Harley Adams, pastor of the Melba Friends Church, officiating.  Interment with graveside rites by the Melba I.O.O.F. Lodge 150 will follow in the Melba cemetery.
    He was born Aug. 4, 1904 at Ottumwa, Iowa.  At an early age, he moved with his family to Idaho Falls and then to Nampa.  He married Hilma M. Johnson Nov. 1, 1930 at Nampa.  While living in Nampa, he drove truck for the Electric Bakery.  In 1946, the family moved to Melba where they farmed and had a dairy.  He retired in 1969.  He was a member and Past Noble Grand of the Melba I.O.O.F. Lodge 150 and a former member and past Worshipful Master of Nampa Masonic Lodge 29, A.F. and A.M.
    He is survived by his wife; four sons, Charles W. Jr. of Caldwell, Robert of Nampa, Richard of Boise and Jerry of Melba; one daughter, Barbara McDorman of Melba; one brother, Ben L. Miller of Caldwell; one sister, Lena Miller of Nampa; 10 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother.
