Clarence Miller

    Clarence D. Miller, 83, of Middleton, died on Monday, Nov. 11, 1996, at his home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10: 30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, at the Middleton United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Jackson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Middleton Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Clarence D. Miller was the first child born to Wesley C. and Hazel I. (Christiancy) Miller on March 13, 1913, in Geneva, NE.  He was reared and educated in Nebraska and came to Idaho in 1934.  He married Lorraine J. Bowman on August 20, 1933, and they had one daughter, Deanna Kaye.  Clarence worked at the first Albertsons store on 16th and State in Boise beginning there in 1942 and continued his employment at various grocery stores for 20 years.  He then started his own construction business and managed several motels over the next few years.  Clarence was active in his church, the Middleton Senior Citizens and W.I.C.A.P.  He loved every minute of it.  Lorraine preceded him death in 1990.  In 1991 he married Allyne Miller of Hebron, NE who has stood by him so diligently over these past five years.
    Clarence is survived by his wife, Allyne Miller, Middleton, ID; his daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Calvin Himes, Nampa; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Georgia Miller, Fruitland, ID and Howard and Kay Miller, Donnelly, ID; a sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Owen Frost, Meridian; 2 sisters-in-law, Pauline Miller, Nampa and Stella Johnson, Boise; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 step children and their families, 2 who live in NE and one who lives in Idaho and a number of nieces and nephews.
    Clarence was also preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law, a niece and several nephews.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m.
