Donald D. Mercer

    NAMPA - Services for Donald D. Mercer, 26, of Caldwell Route 3, who died Wednesday morning in a motorcycle accident, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa, with the Rev. Duane Buhler, pastor of the Calvary Assembly of God Church, officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    He was born March 17, 1946 at Tacoma, Wash, where he was reared and attended schools.  He married Dena Marie Sorenson Dec. 12, 1969 in Tacoma.  They moved to the Nampa area in 1970 when he became a partner with his father-in-law, Veryl Sorenson, in the Boulevard Market.  He was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church, a Royal Ranger leader, and a member of the church choir.  He was also a member of the International Retail Clerks Union.
    Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joni Marie Mercer, at home; his father, Rod David Mercer of Carmichael, Calif.; his mother, Esther Hester of Tacoma; a sister, Gale Miller of Anacortes, Wash.; three brothers, Gary Mercer of Anchorage, Alaska, Michael Mercer of Seatle, and Ron Mercer of Tacoma; his grandparents, Mrs. John Ellington of Dear Lodge, Mont., Laura Reiter of Yakima, Wash., and William John Mercer of Missoula, Mont.
