Donald Nixon
Funeral services for Donald B. Nixon, Sr., 50, of Middleton,
who died in a Caldwell hospital on Wednesday from natural
causes, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Alsip
Funeral Chapel with the Pastor Ted Buck, pastor of the
Central Assembly Christian Life Center, Boise officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with
full military honors by the Mountain Home Air Force Base
Honor Guard. He was born on Jan.
27,1931 at Haddam, Kan. He was reared and educated in
Kansas and Oregon. In 1950 he enlisted in the United
States Air Force and he served two tours of duty in Viet Nam
and retired in 1970 with he rank of TSGT. He was married to
Mary Selcke on June 10, 1957 in Vermont. They
moved to Nampa in 1973 and to Middleton in 1990. At the time
of his death he was employed by the Highway District No. 4
of Canyon County. He is survived by
his wife, Mary Nixon, Middleton; two daughters, Mrs. Charles
(Margaret Lee, Vallejo, Claif. and Mrs. William (Rose)
Womack, Middleton; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald R.
Nixon, Jr. and Bonnie Marie Nixon, Clinton, Wash.; his
father, Marion Nixon, Nampa; three sisters, Mrs. Richard
(Betty) Holmes, Fallon, Nev., Mrs. Gene (Geraldine) O'Bryan,
Santa Cruz, Calif. and Marvel Dyrhaug, Portland, Ore.; five
grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by his mother, a brother and a sister.
