Edgar Norris
Graveside services for Edgar Lee Norris, 85, of 319 Kings
Rd., Nampa, who died Monday, Nov. 1, at his home, will be
conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens
with Major Edward E. World of the Nampa Salvation Army
officiating. Friends may meet at the cemetery.
He was born June 4, 1897, at Nobob, Ky. At an early
age he moved with his family to Eagle, Neb. He married
Anna Helen Wilhelm on Aug. 6, 1919, at Denton, Neb.
They farmed in Nebraska until moving to Colorado in 1929.
While in Colorado he farmed and did carpentry work. In
1950 the family moved to Nampa to make their home. He
worked as a park attendant in Nampa until he retired.
Mrs. Norris preceded him in death on Feb. 28,1980.
He is survived by one son, Donald W. Norris, Anchorage,
Alaska; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Christiansen, Albuquerque,
N.M. ; three grandchildren, Lee Lorris, Nampa, Terri
Christiansen and Gary Christiansen, both of Albuquerque,
N.M.; two great-granddaughters, Lori Norris and Angel Marie
Norris. He also was preceded in death
by two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel all day today
and Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to
12 noon. Memorials may be made to a
favorite charity.
