Gerald Langston
Services for Floyd C. Munson, 74, of Caldwell Route 8, who
died Wednesday, Jan. 12, at home of natural causes, will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell.
He was born June
12, 1908, in Holdrege, Neb., and
attended school at Axtell,
Neb., and high school at
Bertrand,
Neb.
In 1924 the family moved to
Vinango,
Neb., then in 1930 they moved to Imperial, Neb., where he owned and
operated the Imperial Wrecking Company.
He married Lola
Maxine Lattimer on June 12, 1940, at Imperial.
They later moved to
Sumner, Wash., where he worked in the shipyards.
In 1942, they moved to the Caldwell-Nampa area, where
he worked at Symms Fruit Ranch, Dairymen's Co-operative
Creamery, Swifts, and janitored for the Caldwell schools until he retired in 1970.
He then continued part time until 1980.
He is survived by
his wife of Caldwell; two sons, Raymond of Caldwell and
Rodney, serving in the Navy in Hawaii; two daughters, Alicia
Stark and Sharon Caress of Nampa; five sisters, Leola (Dee)
Percy of Marcola, Ore.; Elda (Eddie) Munson and Louella
(Dorty) Percy, both of Caldwell, Elva Burris and Bonnie
Beevers, both of Boise, 10 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gene O., one
sister, LaVera Oliverius, and one daughter, Joan Elaine.
Friends may call
at the chapel today from 6 to 9 p.m.
