Glen Mitchell

    Services for Mr. Glen M. Mitchell, 39, of Nampa, who died Tuesday, Sept. 30, at his home of natural causes, will be held Friday, at the Canyon Building LDS Church, 143 Canyon St., Nampa.
    Bishop Darrell Fullmer, bishop of the Nampa 12th Ward LDS Church, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Mr. Mitchell was born on Sept. 5, 1947, at Heber City, Utah, to Dean and Ramona Mitchell.  He was reared and educated in Heber City and attended high school at Granger, Utah.  After his schooling he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Germany.  After his mission he moved to Salt Lake City and worked for the Felt Electric Company there.
    He married Sharon A. Potts on Feb. 13, 1969, at the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple.  In 1975 he went to work for the Salt Lake Hardware Co. and they moved to Nampa where they have since resided.
    He was a member of the Nampa 12th Ward, LDS Church.  He was involved in scouting and was currently scoutmaster for Troop No. 141 as well as having served on the Baden Powell staff for the past two years.
    He is survived by his wife of Nampa; three daughters, Corrine V. Mitchell, Anessa L. Mitchell and Janae L. Mitchell, all at home; his parents, Dean and Ramona Mitchell of Kearns, Utah; a sister, Deon Sproule of Tooele, Utah: two brothers, Steven Mitchell of Cedar City, Utah, and Bradley Mitchell of Rock Springs, Wyo.; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by a sister, LaDean McDonald in 1973.
    Memorials may be made to Troop No. 141 B.S.A., in care of Darrell Fullmer, 68 Canyon St., Nampa, 83651 or flowers may be sent.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today until 9 p.m., Thursday from 8 am. to 9 p.m. and Friday at the church from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.  The family will greet friends at the Alsip Chapel Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
