Harry Paine
    Services for Harry E. Paine, 70, of Caldwell, who died Thursday, April 23. at a Boise hospital, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by the Rev. Raymond Thompson of the United Methodist Church, Caldwell.
    Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Mr. Paine was born April 2, 1917, at Numa, Iowa, to Steve and Dollie Anders Paine.  As a small child he moved with his family to Nebraska. where he was reared and educated.  He moved to Wyoming in 1939 and worked on a ranch.
    He joined the U.S. Navy in 1941 and served during World War II.  After the war he stayed with the Navy and served for 20 years.  He was honorably discharged in 1961 with the rank of chief commissary steward.
    He moved to Douglas, Wyo., after his discharge and lived there for several years before moving to Caldwell, where he had since resided.  He enjoyed playing cards.
    He is survived by four brothers, Lester Paine of Kennewick, Wash., Steve Paine of Freemont, Neb., Dale Paine of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Floyd Paine of Nebraska; three sisters, Rose Sanders of Caldwell, Bessie Killebrew of Fairfield, Calif., and Pearl Jennings of Victorville, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
    Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until noon Monday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
