Harold Orr
Services for Harold K. Orr, 59, 2210 Arlington St.,
Caldwell, who died Tuesday, Jan. 18, at a Caldwell nursing
home, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Flahiff
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by the Rev. Raymond Thompson of
the United Methodist Church, Caldwell. Private
interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Garden.
He was born Oct. 14, 1923, at Baker, Ore., a son of Eugene
and Nellie Harris Orr. The family moved to Pritchett,
Colo., in 1931, and to Caldwell in 1937, where he completed
his education. He worked at the Farragut Naval Base in
Vancouver, Wash., before .serving with the U.S. Army during
World War II. He married Fern E.
Sanders Sept. 18, 1948, at Winnemucca, Nev. He had
operated the meat department of Bob's Grocery in Caldwell
for 15 years before retiring because of ill health. He
attended the United Methodist Church, Caldwell, and was a
31-year member of the Ameriran Legion, Loren Trotter Post 35
of Caldwell, and the Disabled Veterans of America.
He is survived by his wife of Caldwell; a daughter, Mrs.
Paul (Victoria Ruth) O'Brien of Caldwell; a sister, Clara
Belle Perkins of Caldwell; two grandchildren, and a nephew,
Carl Perkins of Charlottesville, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at the Flahiff Chapel, Caldwell, today from
3 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be given
to the United Methodist Church of Caldwell.
