Jennie Michener

    Jennie A. Michener, 80, of Nampa, died Sunday, Feb. 11. 1996, in a Caldwell care center.  Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa. The Rev. Russell Hendrickson will be officiating.  Private burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Jennie was born Dec. 26, 1915, at Tacoma, Wash., the daughter of Frank and Mabel Renken Spurlock.  At a young age Jennie and her family moved to Nampa.  She graduated from Nampa High School and attended Beautician School.  Jennie practiced her trade as a hairdresser in the Nampa area for the next 25 years.
    In 1952 Jennie married Ben Michener, her husband of 42 years.  They made their home in Nampa, and Jennie went to work for the State School and Hospital in Nampa, working there until her retirement.
    Throughout her life Jennie showed kindness and com-passion to all she met.
    Survivors include her nephew and wife, Max and Teri Norquist of Caldwell.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; her parents and four sisters.
