Juanita Novotny
    Services for Juanita B. "Joy" Novotny, 78, of Nampa, who died Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Nampa hosptial, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    The Rev. David H. Schmidt, pastor of the Nampa Zion Lutheran Church, will officiate.  Private family burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Nampa.
    Mrs. Novotny was born Sept. 4, 1909, at St. Paul, Minn., where she was reared and educated.
    She married Jerry George Novotny in 1942 at St. Paul.  In 1947 they moved to Courtland, Calif., where they farmed. They then moved to Sacramento in 1954.
    Mr. Novotny died in 1976.  In 1980, she moved to Nampa where she has since resided.
    She is survived by four sons, Jerry L. Novotny of Payette; Sheril R. Miner of Elk Grove, Calif.; and 14 grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elinor Jorgenson, and three sisters.
